How much does it cost to live stream a funeral?

How much does it cost to live stream a funeral.

The prices vary widely but so does the quality and the reliably and output as well as the end result. You could probably go really cheap maybe if somebody is desperate enough but people down the low end of the market have been known to pull out the day before either saying they don’t have the right equipment, or you find out there are right and the live stream fails.

When it comes to cost if they are more professional, then they should cost more than the cheap ones who are stacking high selling cheap. (mostly through lack of work) If it’s cheap then corners are being cut and customer care is being reduced. I think we all know that a more professional service the more they should charge. If you have tried a cheap plumber or somebody to tarmac your drive then you know what we mean. You get what you pay more with the more cost companies. (mostly)

Ive had too many calls the day before saying their streaming guy has cancelled on them and can I help. Being honest they probably had a better offer for a higher priced job that day so pulled out of yours and do the other job instead. Yes it happens.

We must also remember that some are also part time hobbyist, builders plumbers or a retired guy. These guys are not professional and just want some extra pocket cash. Comes with risks of course, why would you want a local builder to live stream a funeral? Well i’ve know it happen and they turn up with dads camcorder from 1995 but in the same token we have known more professional companies do a 2 location funeral stream and they get delayed packing down and miss the start of the burial (yes the funeral directors do not wait) The way I operate my funeral streaming services mitigate this problem.

To be honest you really need to be looking at the £650 to £895.00 mark for a good professional service. This is because you need a good business who once commissioned to do the work are fully committed to it and responsible as well as professional on the day.

This price is guidance for the Church service, if you want more locations you will need to pay more money. It’s hard work to make sure it goes perfect. Remember there are always real cost on the day they have to swallow, some milage, van or car costs, tolls, congestion charges LEZ and ULEZ, parking etc by the time the cheap ones are done they have no profit at all and will move on to other work that pays more at some point and with no profit is why they have cheap kit with reflecting live streaming results.

The higher price ones are mostly better... but not all… Try not to chose a dedicated ‘corporate’ streaming company as they can charge £1,500 and they are not any better than the cheap guys they bring too much kit and make it look like a conference as well as not being funeral trained. Most vicars priest and fathers dislike Wedding Video guys for the disruption they create with cameras and moving everywhere.

We only take on 2 day maximum because we can have 2 in our team. Those who are really busy and cheap are simply googling and hiring freelance people not trained for it who even they have never met and they might never us again. very risky.

Some companies offer “Stream it yourself” quite why they do is beyond me, (Ok they charge you for doing it yourself thats why) they are setting the customer up for troubles and failure. If you wish to do itself don’t pay anybody just hold up your phone and do a facebook live. Beware though most 4G signals vanish in Churches and the Church wifi spends more time off than on just when you are trying to stream. The sound is normally awful too. You might be best to just leave it than stream yourself.

If you want to make a good choice with someone to funeral stream for you, you best look at their funeral videos (as in videography not streaming) and their photography on their website, these companies are the ones who are obviously more talented and dedicated to the funeral industry not just work to fill a gap while Wedding video season is off.

If you chose a good high quality funeral streaming company, with high reputation be prepared to pay for them to travel, not much maybe £55 but you might well find its very worth it to get the person you want. We have been asked to travel 3 hours each way before. If you want us we will come along.

Not everybody has the same kit of course, there are those with cheap kit, those with proper broadcast kit (us) and those who just go over the top thinking they are in Hollywood.

Darren, Can you live stream a funeral for us

We have live streamed over 1000 funeral and memorials to date, and all of them have been 100% successful. We have worked in some pretty bad 4g signal areas too and we can live stream at many locations like at the house or funeral home, the cortege arrivals outside the Church, the Church service with 1,2 or more cameras with excellent sound, the burial at the cemetery and the wake if you wish.

We also record all that we stream so you can download and keep later. The streaming link would also be online for over another year.

We are very experienced and professional with funeral streaming, funeral videography as well as AV support. Outdoor sound incase many more mourners turn top than can fit into the Church as well as a TV relay where we have a camera in the Church and have our 4 x brighter TV outside or in a Marquee or indeed the Village or Church hall.

Such is our reputation we are often traveling all over the UK to offer our services. A good funeral streaming and funeral videographer company are not that easy to find, sometimes using somebody in your own town or village will not give the result you were after.

If you have any more questions or might like to see if we are available to help on the date please contact us.

Kindest regards

Darren
